Individual/Adult/Couples

Prior to your first session, you will receive an email to activate your client portal. Please complete all documents prior to your first session. During your first session, the therapist will review all of our forms and answer any questions you may have. Once the logistics are out of the way, you will have an opportunity to share your reasons for coming to therapy. There are no right or wrong answers to these questions.

The primary purpose of the first session is to begin building a relationship between you and your therapist. The therapeutic relationship is incredibly important to the success of therapy. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you do not feel like your therapist is the right match for you. Finding you the right therapist takes precedent over you seeing one of "our" therapists, and we will be happy to provide referrals to facilitate that process.

Child First Session

At the beginning of the first session, your therapist will meet with the child and caregivers together to ensure everyone has an opportunity to share their reasons for coming to therapy. The therapist will also review consent and confidentiality with everyone present. After about 10-15 minutes, the caregivers will exit the room to allow your child to speak with the therapist alone. During the final 10-15 minutes of the session, the caregivers will meet with the therapist alone to receive some feedback on the initial session and review a few logistics of child therapy. As mentioned above, it is essential that your child feel comfortable with the therapist. Finding the right therapist for your child and family takes precedent over you seeing one of "our" therapists, and we will be happy to provide referrals to facilitate that process.

Insurance

Breathe.Center is an "out of network" provider. PPO insurance plans that offer coverage for "out of network" services will help cover the cost of therapy. Unfortunately, you will not receive any coverage if you have an HMO plan. As a courtesy, we will send a claim directly to your insurance on your behalf. Once you meet your deductible you will start to receive reimbursement checks in the mail.

Please do not hesitate to contact our billing department if you would like assistance finding out additional information about your benefits and what insurance will likely cover:
